erlang-base software package provides Erlang/OTP virtual machine and base applications, you can install in your Debian 9 (Stretch) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install erlang-base
erlang-base is installed in your system.
Make ensure the erlang-base package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep erlang-base *
You will get with erlang-base package name, version, architecture and description in a table
